Pirate Kayak Adventure | Sea Point to Maiden's Cove

Cape Town

Activity Description

This adventure is not for first time kayakers, you should at least have done a 2 hour trip with us and feel confident that you can paddle for the extra hour!

Join us, ye adventurous and fun seeking souls, aboard the newest additions to the Kaskazi Kayak family. Book here to enjoy a three hour guided trip on our mobile pirate fleet wherever favourable sea conditions beckon us on the Atlantic and Indian coasts of the Western Cape.

The Pirate Fleet comprises five state of the art double (duo) sit inside sea kayaks. We have chosen our sit inside kayaks as they offer brilliant stability, comfort and protection from the elements, especially useful on longer trips. Each kayak has been individually branded and named in accordance with nautical custom, and each one even sports a Jolly Roger flag!

So who should board the pirate fleet? Anyone over the age of 14 who is relatively fit, has sea kayaking experience, done at least one of our 2 hour trips and feels confident of paddling the extra hour or completed the Kayak Intro Training Course. Book now to paddle Black Pearl, Ariel, Long John Silver, Captain Hook, or Blackbeard for your special kayaking adventure!

Please note that each kayak will be bagged on a first come, first served basis. Arrrrrrrr, maties!

Kaskazi Kayaks And Adventures has the ideal location to launch and explore the Table Bay coastline from the sea providing unique and spectacular photo opportunities. Our shop is conveniently located at Three Anchor Bay where we launch and embark on an approximately 13 km journey to Maiden’s Cove and back

The view of Signal Hill, Lion’s Head, Table Mountain and the 12 Apostles is unforgettable. Uninterrupted views of our spectacular mountain range and the sea breeze will leave you feeling rejuvenated and hungry to taste more of what the Mother City has to offer.

The trip to Maiden’s Cove takes us past the iconic Sea Point and Clifton beaches. If the water is clear we will paddle in the beautiful kelp forest just off Clifton beach and past the rocks where seals rest and cormorants roost. Depending on the sea conditions and tide we may paddle through the rock gardens between Clifton and Maiden’s cove or around the outside of the the rocks and possibly land for a quick leg stretch. Depending on the speed of the group we may paddle around the rock North Lion’s Paw off Clifton.
